BRIEF HISTORY OF NIPOTS
NPOOTS as we know it today was established on
the 17th day of August, 2011 as APOTN (Association of Prosthetic and
Orthopaedic Technologists of Nigeria) by a group of Prosthesis and
Orthopaedic Technology graduates, who converged at the Department of
Prosthesis and Orthopaedic, FUTO to observe her very first General
Meeting.
On this same very first day, The first Acting Excos were nominated by the general assembly, who were a total of about 9 members regrettably.

Our very first registered member registered on that very first day and therefore kicked the ball rolling. He is our very own Comrade Obi Samuel.
Thereafter, APOTN was changed to NPOOTS after several consultations with various professionals.
Today, the total number of registered members of NPOOTS have increased from that one person, registered on our very first meeting to about 100 today. We hope to register all graduates of P and O and every Prosthetic, Orthotic, Orthopaedic and rehabilitation Professional soonest.
